ALAN MARKEY
Alan is an Irish actor based in Dublin. he’s 5′ 10″ (179cm) tall.
He stars in the feature film ‘A SUNKEN PLACE’ directed by Ronan O’ Leary which is scheduled to be released this year.
Screen credits also include the role of ‘Young Dessie’ in TV Drama ‘THE NOBLE CALL’ directed by Ronan O’ Leary (Allergy Films), the lead roles of ‘Eugene’ in the short film ‘OUR BEST FOOT FORWARD’ by Brendan Phelan (Pulse College), ‘Declan’ in the short ‘DEAR DUBLIN’ by Evelyn Gustafson (Champlain College) and ‘Duke’ in the short ‘THE SHAKES’ by Cian O’ Malley (IADT). Alan also appeared in the documentary ‘BEYOND THE BULLETS’ directed by Paula Williams (RTE).
Stage credits include the roles of ‘Sampson’ in ‘ROMEO & JULIET’, ‘Steve’ in ‘A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE’, ‘Jonathan Brewster’ in ‘ARSENIC AND OLD LACE’ and ‘The Mad Hatter’ in ‘THE MADDEST TEA PARTY’ for UCD Drama. Alan has also starred in the musicals ‘9 TO 5’ and ‘URINETOWN’ playing ‘Mr Tinsworthy’ and ‘Old Man Strong’.
Since completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in UCD studying Drama and Film, Alan has recently graduated from the 1-year Full-Time Program at Bow Street Academy, Ireland’s National School of Screen Acting.
