DERMOT WARD

Dermot is an actor from Athlone in the heart of the Irish midlands. He is 6ft (183cm) tall.

Dermot stars in the dark mystery THE GREEN SEA written and directed by Randal Plunkett) as ‘Justin’ which stars Katharine Isabelle and Hazel Doupe.

Screen credits include ‘Garda Collins’ in the IFTA-winning comedy DEADLY CUTS written and directed by Rachel Carey, ‘Niall Scully’ in the acclaimed and multi award-winning drama PURE MULE written by Eugene O’Brien and directed by Declan Recks and Charlie McCarthy.

Adept at both drama and comedy, Dermot has worked with renowned directors including Miguel Sapochnik, Damien O’Donnell, Charles Sturridge, Finn Keenan, and Lee Cronin, across a variety of productions, such as GAME OF THRONES, and LASSIE (starring Peter O’Toole).

On stage, he has played the lead role in a number of shows: Finn, the troubled older brother, in PARTS UNKNOWN (Smock Alley Theatre); the title role in movement piece THE NAVIGATOR (Smock Alley Theatre); Leon, a disgraced artist, in EIGHT PANELS (Liberty Hall); the psychopathic and sadistic Leopold in BRAZEN BULLS (Town Hall Theatre, Galway); and WB Yeats in EAST OF THE SUN, WEST OF THE MOON (Passionfruit Theatre), to name a few.

Dermot has co-hosted The Substantial Meal podcast with comedians Justine Stafford and Martin Angolo, performing live shows at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs and Electric Picnic festivals. And he can be seen as a regular contributor on the hugely popular YouTube comedy series The TRY Channel, which has garnered almost half a billion views.
