ELLEN WHITEHEAD

Ellen is an Irish actress from Northern Ireland.

Upon graduating from The Guildford School of Acting’s 3 year Musical Theatre BA (Hons) course Ellen embarked on a UK Tour playing ‘Boo Who in Dr Seuss’ “HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS”. Since then she has taken part in workshops for Mirrorball Films and Film4’s “PROM FEVER” written and directed by Debbie Isitt (the creator of the film series “Nativity”), ReachFind Productions’ new musical “BY MY SIDE” directed by Christine Scarry, and appeared as Niamh in “TÍR NA NÓG”, a new Irish musical written by Shauna Carrick and directed by Katie O’Halloran, of which the cast album was released last year.

Ellen is set to return to The Lyric Theatre again this Christmas to reprise her roles of ‘Fan Scrooge’ and ‘Tiny Tim’ amongst other characters in “A CHRISTMAS CAROL” written by Marie Jones and directed by Matthew McElhinney.

Other theatre credits include the UK tour of “DO YOU BELIEVE IN GHOSTS?” (Helen/Alternate Joanna); Jordan Productions’ family pantomime “CINDERELLA” (‘Cinderella’) at Watersmeet Theatre in Rickmansworth; a live-broadcasted play merging live-action onstage and Minecraft avatars being controlled backstage at The Playhouse Derry called “TIMERIDERS: PLAYCRAFT LIVE” (‘Maddy Carter’) directed by Kieran Griffiths; a concert at The Royal Festival Hall in London conducted by Larry Blank entitled “WITH A LITTLE BIT OF LERNER” (Choir Vocalist); and dlr Mill Theatre’s productions of “ROMEO AND JULIET” (Female Understudy for Juliet/ Nurse/ Lady Capulet/ Benvolio), “SLEEPING BEAUTY” (Raven) and “LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD” (Swing/Female Understudy) directed by Geoff O’Keeffe in The Mill Theatre Dundrum.
