NIALL GAFFNEY
Niall is an Irish actor and comedian.
August will see Niall filming in Dublin on a new television series called “SHOWKIDS” which is being directed by Hugh O’Connor and produced by Mike Donnelly.
His screen credits also include ‘Tony Walsh’ in the BBC2 / RTÉ1 co-production ‘THE WALSHES’ (Delightful Industries) which he also co-wrote, Sky Arts Comedy Short ‘QUINTUPLETS’, directed by George Kane, E4’s ‘THE MIDNIGHT BEAST’, written by Jamie and Natasia Demetriou directed by Al Campbell. RTÉ’s ‘BRIDGET & EAMON’, directed by Jason Butler, and Setanta’s mock documentary FRAN, ASSISTANT MANAGER.
As a member of comedy group Diet of Worms, he has vast experience in comedy across all media.
Audio work includes various parts on Roger Doyle’s ‘FINNEGANS WAKE | A SUITE OF AFFECTIONS’, BBC Radio 4 pilot ‘KULT’ featuring Adam Buxton and animated YouTube series ‘THE ADVENTURES OF PUFFINCAT’ which has a worldwide cult following. He also appeared in BBC Radio pilot ‘INTERROGATION ROOM B’ with Jamie Demetriou, Ellie White, Daniel Rigby, Ellie White and Lolly Adefope.
Niall’s other creative work includes writing and directing branded content, including ‘THE CAFE RIDE WITH MATT STEPHENS’ for Sigma Sports (2.6m+ YouTube views). He is a podcast producer and has also provided Motion Capture and VO for the ‘BALDURS GATE’ Video Game series.
