Áine is an Irish actor from Galway City, and is 5′ 8″ (173cm) tall.
She is performing in “CELTIC EXODUS”, a new musical by Brain Warfield of The Wolfetones which is running in The Complex in Dublin 7 until Saturday, January 25th. Presented by John Murphy of Happy Bag Productions and Larry Bass of Shinawil, and directed by Mark Lambert, the cast also includes Clelia Murphy, Mark O’Regan, Seamus O’Rourke, Aoife Fitzpatrick, Morgan C. Jones, Emmet Farrell, and Moses Murphy.
Áine’s stage credits also include ‘Ismene” in Sophocle’s “ANTIGONE” by Evasia Koutoulaki, the lead role of ‘Susan’ in “UNDER THE BLUE” by Conor Sheehan, the lead role of ‘Emma’ in Mike Bartlett’s “CONTRACTIONS” by Same Page Theatre Company, the lead role of ‘Aisling’ in Joan Lally’s “STEPPING UP” by John Farrell, and an ensemble role in the ballet “ROMEO & JULIET” by The Perm State Ballet when they toured to the Bord Gáis Theatre.
Áine has all round strong musicality (singing, movement, rhythm). She has Musical Theatre training and experience: as a Mezzo Soprano she is a strong solo singer, and plays the piano, the bodhrán, and is comfortable performing contemporary dance and ballet. She had 11yrs intensive ballet training from Regina Rogers Baller Company, and is a past member of Youth Ballet West. She has also trained in Jazz and Contemporary dance.
Screen credits include Fantastic Films’ Screen Ireland’s Focus Short “BREEDERS” (post-production) directed by Suri Grennell, “SPECIES OF SPACES” (post-production) directed by Megan O’Rourke in which Áine plays the lead role of ‘Susie’, “ALL ABOUT ACCORDIONS” (post-production) by Iarla McKeon and Willow Kennedy in which Áine plays the lead role of ‘Maebh’, and the short-film “ECHOES” (post-production) directed by Daniel Crowe in which she plays the lead role of ‘Grace’. She’s also cast in The Morgan Brothers feature film “FROGGIE” and the lead role of ‘Laura’ in French short-film “THE PAINTER” by Thomas Burke.
As a strong Irish speaker, she plays the supporting role of ‘Clodagh’ in Ardán Media’s Irish Language short-film “OAT FLAT WHITE” directed by Georgia Lee and Máiread Dewar.
Having completed the Foundation Course at The Oxford School of Drama in the UK, Áine went on to train and graduate from the 1-year Full-Time Program at Bow Street Academy.
