BARRY MCNAMARA
Barry is from the West of Ireland but is based in Dublin. He is 6′ 3″ (191cm) tall.
His short film credits include “SCREAMER” directed by Ciaran Maginn, “SAFE HOME” directed by Martha Lovett Cullen, “UPPER HAND, ON YOUR KNEES” directed by Karin Raksanugraha, “RECON” directed by Sean Power, and “INTRANSIGENT” directed by Tom O’Brien.
A graduate of the full-time course Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting, Barry was selected as one of the recipients of Screen Ireland and Bow Street Academy’s ‘The Actor as Creator’ scheme. The Actor as Creator scheme is aimed at supporting unique creative artists within the Irish screen acting community to create a diverse range of original new work. The selected recipients were selected by a panel of industry professionals in addition to panel members from Screen Ireland. The final successful recipients represent a diverse range of new and established talent from across Ireland.
Theatre wise Barry played ‘Alastair Fitzfassenden’ in the stage production “THE MILLIONAIRESS” directed by Aisling Smith.
