KAREN KELLY

Karen is based in Dublin and is 5′ 1″ (154cms) tall.

She plays ‘Lill’ in the award winning web series “Jill and Lill”. A feature film adaptation produced by Samson Films has been awarded Screen Ireland funding and is currently in development.

Karen is a graduate of The Lir National Academy of Dramatic Art BA, graduating with First Class Honours. At her time in The Lir she played roles such as Mabel in “DISTINGUISHED VILLA”, Olga in “THREE SISTERS”, Rachael in “APPROPRIATE”, Mistress Overdone/Mariana in “MEASURE FOR MEASURE”, Katie Roche in “KATIE ROCHE”, Mrs. Soames in “OUR TOWN”, Celia/Amiens in “AS YOU LIKE IT” and Hecuba/Astynax “TROJAN WOMEN”. She appeared in The Mill Theatre’s production of “MACBETH” as The Porter and Witch and their Christmas Panto “LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD” as Wolfie Jr.

Screen credits include 6-time nominated IFTA film “WHO WE LOVE” to be released April 2023 nationwide in cinemas and the multi award winning and IFTA nominated short “FIVE LETTERS TO THE STRANGER WHO WILL DISSECT MY BRAIN” directed by Oonagh Kearney and produced by Tyrella Films. She also can be seen playing a bridesmaid in a KFC commercial directed by Rachel Carey and RTE’s one off special “SOCIALLY DISTANT” written and directed by James Cotter. She also starred in the award winning director Sinéad O’Loughlin’s short “MAKE UP” which had its Cork International Film Festival Debut in 2022.

Karen is an avid singer, she has a special interest in opera and musical theatre. She is also a trained baton twirler and throughout her teens won many titles. She is a graduate of The Programme in The Bow Street Screen Acting Academy.
